Senior Management Accountant | Boutique North London Accountancy Practice | Up to £50k DOE

Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for an exciting new opportunity? A dynamic and forward-thinking accountancy practice in North London is seeking a talented professional to join their growing team.

The Senior Management Accountant Role:As a Senior Management Accountant, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients across industries such as financial services, recruitment, and hospitality. Supported by a skilled offshore team, you will provide expert financial insights, ensure compliance, and help drive client success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a varied portfolio of clients, managing bookkeeping, VAT returns, and financial reporting.

  • Reviewing management accounts, ensuring accuracy, and resolving discrepancies in P&L and balance sheets.

  • Acting as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and managing expectations effectively.

  • Mentoring and supervising offshore team members to maintain high service standards.

  • Implementing cloud-based accounting tools and automation to improve efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial accounting.

  • Proven experience in management accounts preparation, VAT returns, and trial balance reporting.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.

  • Outstanding communication and client management skills.

  • Experience mentoring and managing teams, particularly offshore bookkeepers.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms such as Xero and Dext is highly desirable.

  • A proactive, commercial mindset with a focus on delivering long-term client value.
