SEN Teaching Assistant Required in Edgware (Northwest London) - Autism & Complex Needs

Prospero are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted GOOD School (age 16+) in the Edgware area, who specialise in supporting students with needs including Autism and additional Complex Needs.

The position will involve providing classroom support to students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, access learning throughout the week with various subjects across the curriculum, this will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately.

Daily Rate: 100 per day
Location: North London (Edgware)
Contract Type: Long Term
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 5 days a week
Class Size: 7 - 13 students

The successful applicants will have:
Previous experience working with Autism & Complex Needs
Previous experience managing challenging behaviour
Ideally experience working with children and/or young people
Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check

The role will consist of:
Offering support to the class teacher
Participating in various learning activities including cooking, shopping, life skills, community-based learning etc.
Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans
Building good student - teacher rapport
Supporting in aspects of Personal Care

To be eligible for this role you must have an Enhanced Child or Child & Adult Workforce barred list DBS Certificate registered on the update service.
