Behaviour Mentor - Edgware
Salary: £85 - £105 per day (depending on experience)Location: Edgware, North LondonStart Date: Immediate or as soon as possibleContract: Full-time, term-time only
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people? A supportive and inclusive school in Edgware is looking for a motivated Behaviour Mentor to join their team and help students overcome barriers to learning.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behaviour or emotional needs.
- Help students build self-confidence, develop social skills, and adopt positive behaviours.
- Assist teachers and SEN teams in implementing behaviour management strategies.
- Act as a role model, fostering resilience and a growth mindset in students.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional challenges.
- Is patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students.
- Possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Can remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.
Experience in education, youth work, or working with SEN students is highly desirable.
