Primary School Teacher Vacancy – Year 2 (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Location: Edgware

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 2 teacher to join our dedicated primary school team in Edgware. This role is open for either a full-time position or a flexible four-day part-time option.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning & Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in collaboration with the Year 2 team to ensure consistency in the curriculum and high-quality learning experiences for all students.
  • Assessment & Progress Tracking: Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents, and adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment with effective behaviour management strategies to foster respect, focus, and a love of learning.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with Year 2 colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices, ensuring cohesive and supportive teaching across the team.
  • Support & Guidance: Support students’ personal development and social skills, helping them to build confidence and a sense of responsibility within the school community.
  • Parental Engagement: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and any areas for support.
  • School Contribution: Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development sessions to further enhance the quality of education provided and support the school’s values and mission.

Requirements:

  • Qualified and Experienced: No ECTs. Candidates must have prior teaching experience in Year 2 and/or Year 3.
  • Strong Behaviour Management: Proven skills in creating a productive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Team-Oriented: Ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.

Salary Range: £34,514 - £44,756 (dependent on experience)
