An exciting opportunity has arisen for strong SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-run specialist school for children and young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs in Croydon.
The Role
In this role you will be supporting secondary age pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional or learning difficulties, and/or social communication difficulties including ASD, SEMH and other learning needs. You will be supporting children on a 1:1 or group basis across academic classes, therapy sessions and on trips. You will work with the class teacher to support assessment and evidencing learning and create stimulating learning environments including resources and displays. The role is varied, and you will need to be adaptable, able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.
The school are ideally looking for a teaching assistant with previous experience and a dedicated approach to fulfilling the needs of pupils. You must have the ability to motivate pupils towards high achievement is essential. Excellent teamwork, classroom and communication skills are vital.
