We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified professional to teach RE. The successful candidate will be able to teach RE at Key Stages 4 and 5. This post provides an excellent opportunity to work in a high-quality, well-resourced and supportive environment and be a part of a highly motivated and visionary team of teachers. An interest in, and understanding of, curriculum design and cognitive RE, a commitment to continuing professional development. The post is suitable for both experienced and newly qualified teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Support the development of Citizenship resources and contribute to curriculum planning.
- Foster a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment.
- Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and team meetings.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning experience for all students.
- Encourage students to develop a passion for RE, while promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in RE or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching RE at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
- A passion for RE and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- A commitment to student welfare and personal development.
