Learning Support Assistant | Post-16 Institution | Edgware, HA8 | £95 - £110 per day | January Start | Long-Term Opportunity

Long Term Futures is proud to partner with a renowned independent Post-16 SEN institution in Edgware, HA8, seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant. This role offers a unique opportunity to support students with additional needs both within the classroom and through community-based learning experiences, helping them build essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEN, including ASD and SLD.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement IEPs and tailored learning strategies.
  • Facilitate community-based learning experiences, such as trips to local businesses, public transport training, and life skills activities to help students develop independence and confidence in real-world settings.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining clear communication with staff and families.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive environment that fosters student well-being and achievement.

About You:

Experience working with Post-16 students or individuals with SEN.

  • A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to learning support.
  • Confidence in assisting students during off-site activities and engaging in community-based learning.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN are an advantage.
