We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher Assitant to work full time at a special needs school based in North West London. This school specialises in supporting students with PMLD, providing a safe and vibrant learning community with smaller classrooms to ensure learner engagement.
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant looking to make a real impact in the lives of students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)? We are seeking an inspirational Teacher Assistant to join a well-resourced and supportive special school in North West London.
The Role:
- Assist Teacher with engaging, sensory-based lessons tailored to the needs of PMLD students.
- Use assistive technology, communication aids, and multi-sensory approaches to enhance learning.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the physical, sensory, and cognitive needs of students.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience assisting students with PMLD, complex needs, or severe disabilities.
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, sensory learning strategies, and assistive technology (desirable).
- A patient, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching support.
- A strong commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
Any health care assistant experience is suited to be able to assist with personal care.
