Location: Edgware, HA8
Day Rate: 90-110 per day
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

About the Role

Long Term Futures is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Post-16 provision in Edgware, HA8. This inclusive institution supports young adults aged 18-24 with diverse special educational needs, focusing on independence, confidence, and personal growth. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction, ensuring students gain the skills they need for future success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support, tailoring approaches to student needs.
  • Lead small group instruction to reinforce learning and promote social development.
  • Support lesson planning by adapting materials and resources.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Assist in progress monitoring, tracking student development and supporting education plans.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with young people with SEN, particularly post-16 students.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management and supporting learners with ASD, ADHD, or communication needs.
  • A proactive approach to lesson planning and adapting learning strategies.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive attitude.
