Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Barnet (HA8) where you can make a real difference in the lives of students.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, and emotional or behavioural challenges. You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to individual students or small groups, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students in the classroom to engage with the curriculum.

  • Helping with the delivery of interventions, under the guidance of the SENCo.

  • A passion for supporting students with SEN, and an understanding of different learning needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • Previous experience in SEN is advantageous but not essential.
