This long-term role, starting immediately, offers the potential for a permanent position. About the role:

  • Provide specialised support for students with autism and complex needs, creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment tailored to their individual strengths and challenges.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that are differentiated to meet the diverse learning needs of each child.
  • Create a safe, structured classroom environment that supports emotional and behavioural regulation.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual student needs, maintaining high expectations of progress and engagement.
  • Foster strong, positive relationships with students to build trust and encourage positive behaviours.
  • Work closely with other staff members and external specialists to provide holistic support to students.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have the right to work within the UK
  • Previous experience working in a classroom setting is essential
  • DBS registered on the update system or willing to obtain one
  • Comfortable and flexible in diverse learning environments.
  • Previous experience working in a classroom setting, ideally with students who have Complex needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively.
  • QTS, PGCE, or an overseas teaching qualification equivalent to UK
  • Marking and lesson planning are vital to this role
