Red Sky Personnel are looking for an experienced PCV /PSV Engineer for our London-based client in the North West London area. They are one of London's largest growing bus operators with 9 garages and counting. This job also comes with an attractive, industry-leading, perk package.
The ideal applicant will have a proven track record of handling; breakdowns, stocks and spares, repairs, and maintenance, all whilst keeping full records in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.

PCV /PSV Engineer Personal specification

Your role will involve establishing and maintaining relationships with the garage's drivers and service controllers to ensure the seamless operation of our services 24/7.
Your ability to work to high standards independently and as part of a team will set you apart. Demonstrating resilience under pressure and meeting tight deadlines without compromising on the quality of work will be crucial.

  • Conducting routine vehicle inspections and servicing.
  • Identifying and notifying managers of vehicle faults and technical issues that need to be raised to the Technical Department.
  • Prioritise work for the engineering department to meet and deliver service requirements
  • Conduct reactive maintenance and repair using a full range of diagnostic equipment and techniques.
  • Ensuring that vehicles comply with health and safety requirements by conducting maintenance and repair.
  • Understand and comply with health and safety procedures, specifically reporting any accidents and defective equipment.
  • Comply with the Company Wheel Nut policy at all times.
  • Keep up to date and comply with technical bulletins.
  • Ensure understanding of and compliance with the company procedures for health and safety.


PCV /PSV Engineer Essential Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in the role
  • Experience of working in the bus, coach, light, or HGV industry as a mechanical engineer.
  • Use of diagnostic test equipment.
  • Full and current driving licence.
  • Excellent time management skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Essential IT skills

NVQ level 3 or equivalent in vehicle mechanical engineering

PCV /PSV Engineer Desirable:

  • IRTEC Licence
  • PCV Driving License
  • Proven Competency in maintaining one or more bus suppliers (Volvo, ADL, Scania or Optare).
  • Ability to use manufacturers diagnostic equipment to interrogate buses for faults


PCV /PSV Engineer Salary Range:

Park Royal - £55,555.50

Edgware - £57,037.50
