Field Service Technician (Fire & Security)

Location: Edinburgh

We currently have an opening for a Field Service Technician to join the team based around the Edinburgh area. This is working for a large business, who are part of a group to cover service and maintenance requirements for a wide range of customers.

Role:

Working as a technician you'll be tasked with carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM's) on a range of Fire and Security systems to include, reactive maintenance and additional works/emergencies, based on client requirements, in and around the Edinburgh area.

Requirements:

  • Current experience with both IP CCTV and analogue systems, along with knowledge of a range of Fire, Intruder and access control products
  • Must be IPAF trained and have a valid Chapter 8 ECS card
  • City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent
  • Experience in IT & Networking
  • Industry experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis, rectification and preventative tasks
  • To co-ordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with Fire & Security Systems aspects of the PPM schedules.
  • Great communicator, ability to work as part of a team and fill in all required documentation for each job.
  • Must be willing to be part of an on-call rota

 

Package: Up to £38k per annum + Company Van and Fuel Card, Overtime and call out allowance.
