What you'll do:
As an Audit Analyst, your role will be pivotal in supporting the delivery of our client's strategy. You'll be a proactive team member within a leading audit function, gaining exposure to a wide range of risk modelling, capital assessment and other analytical techniques across banking and insurance businesses. Your ability to assist the Engagement Lead in the delivery of Audits or lead evaluation of controls will be crucial. You'll also be responsible for delivering specified outcomes within a designated area of audit control, supporting internal customers, highlighting shortcomings in current compliance processes, conducting research using primary data sources, and selecting relevant information for analysis.
- Assist the Engagement Lead in the delivery of Audits or lead evaluation of controls and completion of testing applying proficient knowledge of audit methodology and assigned business / risk area.
- Deliver specified outcomes and/or provide support services within a designated area of audit control by working within established systems.
- Support internal customers to ensure their needs are met and/or help senior colleagues manage client relationships.
- Highlight shortcomings and suggest improvements in current compliance processes, systems and procedures within assigned unit and/or discipline.
- Deliver prescribed outcomes by working as directed within established data management systems and procedures.
- Conduct research using primary data sources and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Audit Analyst position brings a wealth of skills and experience. You possess knowledge of the generic elements of a model life cycle along with their associated risks, and have an understanding of effective model risk management and governance. Your knowledge extends to regulatory capital requirements in Insurance or Banking. You have practical experience developing, using or monitoring models measuring Credit, Market or Actuarial Risks. Your ability to deliver risk and control assurance activity that is timely, impactful, insightful and valued by stakeholders sets you apart. You also have experience using statistical analysis and qualitative techniques to validate models, and the ability to analyse, understand and communicate data as information.
- Knowledge of the generic elements of a model life cycle, and their associated risks.
- Understanding of effective model risk management and governance.
- Knowledge of regulatory capital requirements in Insurance or Banking.
- Practical experience developing, using or monitoring models measuring Credit, Market or Actuarial Risks.
