Search are delighted to be supporting the recruitment of a Financial Controller for our client's Edinburgh office with hybrid working. Reporting to the CEO, the Financial Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of the company through effective business partnering, preparing monthly management accounts, annual accounts and cash-flow forecasting. If you're a Qualified Accountant with experience leading a team and looking to make an impact, you would be encouraged to apply. Your responsibilities include:* Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts.* Conducting cash-flow forecasting to ensure financial stability.* Overseeing the preparation of annual accounts.* Engaging key internal and external stakeholders in business partnering capacity. * Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.* Implementing and maintaining robust financial controls and procedures.* Providing strategic financial advice to support business decisions.* Managing the finance team and ensuring continuous professional development.* Liaising with external auditors and managing audit process.Skills and experience that will benefit your application:* Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).* Proven experience in a financial controller or similar role.* Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.* Knowledge of financial software and advanced Excel skills.* Demonstrable leadership ability.
