Search are delighted to be supporting the recruitment of a Senior Accountant in Edinburgh with hybrid working. Within the role, you will be managing the UK finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of accounts and looking to optimise accounting activities. If you are a Qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE) Accountant, looking to join a market leader and be a part of exciting projects, you would be encouraged to apply. Your key responsibilities will include:* Manage the UK finance team & oversee month-end activities.* Prepare monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts.* Maintain general ledger bookkeeping.* Support internal and external audits.* Complete quarterly VAT returns.* Report monthly operational spend against budget & introduce budgetary controls.* Review invoice payments and oversee payment runs.* Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts.* Manage assets and monitor depreciation.* Execute IFRS leasing transactions.* Ensure accuracy of postings by junior accountants.Skills and experience you'll ideally have:* University Degree in Accountancy or similar field.* Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant.* Proficiency with Accounting software and ERP systems.* Advanced Excel skills.What's on offer:* A competitive salary package of 55k-60k, depending on experience.* Hybrid working options.* Discretionary bonus scheme.* Health insurance.* Generous leave allowance.If you'd like to apply or find out more, please submit your CV at the earliest opportunity and/or get in touch at .
