Job Advert: Administration AssistantSalary: £12.50 per hourHours: 15 hours per week (spread over at least 3 days to fit within office hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm)Location: EH12We are seeking an organised and proactive Administration Assistant to provide essential administration support. This role primarily involves assisting the Advisor for Christian Life and ensuring the smooth running of events, meetings, and administrative processes.Key Duties:Organising practical arrangements for events, meetings, and training days, including venue bookings, catering, registration management, and processing payments/expenses.Providing administrative support, including minute-taking, staffing reports, e-filing, printing, and processing expenses.Ensuring the Diocesan website remains accurate and up to date with information about courses, events, and training.Answering and directing correspondence from clergy, congregation members, and the public via telephone, email, and post.Supporting the creation of newsletters and other communications.Collaborating with the Office team to welcome visitors and assist with general administrative and housekeeping tasks.Essential Skills and Competencies:Sympathetic to the aims and vision of the Scottish Episcopal Church.Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional yet approachable manner.Proficient IT skills and the ability to quickly learn and use new systems.Experience organising events or training days.A team player who can also work independently, including with volunteers.If you are looking for a part-time role and feel you may be a good fit for this role, we would love to hear from you!
