Business Support Assistant

9 month contract

Edinburgh or Glasgow - onsite

Meraki Talent is partnered with a leading financial services business to appoint a Business Support Assistant to their Edinburgh or Glasgow team. This is an office based, 9 month contract offering an excellent salary and benefits.

The purpose of the Business Support Assistant is to assist various departments with document preparation, administrative tasks, and stakeholder support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Produce high-quality documents such as reports, letters, proposals, presentations, and mail merges using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ensure all documents are accurate, free of errors, and aligned with company guidelines.
  • Conduct compliance checks as part of the client onboarding process.
  • Assist with expense and mileage claim submissions.
  • Provide front desk support, including managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, welcoming visitors, and arranging refreshments (as applicable).
  • Support operational projects, process improvements, and other administrative initiatives.
  • Perform general administrative and data entry tasks to support office or business unit needs.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Experience working in an office services environment - ideally in legal or professional services
  • Experience of document management including letters, mail merges (essential)
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to your work
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise workload
