We are currently recruiting for a Senior Architect to join a leading Architectural practice based in the Edinburgh area. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Architect to work on a range of exciting residential and student accommodation projects as part of an award-winning team. Our client is open in terms of the successful Senior Architects background / experience but all applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' UK experience as well as a good knowledge of Revit. Our client is seeking an experienced candidate to take a leading role within the practice.

Senior Architect Position Overview

  • Working with Revit on a daily basis
  • Work on exciting Residential and Student Accommodation
  • Work projects from planning stage through to completion
  • Prepare and produce technical bid and tender documents
  • Liaise with clients and other consultants to develop designs and prepare documentation for tender purposes
  • Creating excellent buildings for the end users and clients
  • Work independently as well as in a team throughout all RIBA Stages
  • Help more Junior members of the team
  • Work projects from planning stage through to completion
  • Prepare and produce technical bid and tender documents
  • Create engaging designs that exceed the project brief

Senior Architect Position Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years post Part-III RIBA, recently qualified ARB or equivalent with UK on-site construction experience essential
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload of medium to large-scale projects
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations
  • A strong design portfolio
  • Excellent knowledge of Revit
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Analytical approach to workload
  • Commercially aware, responsible and reliable
  • Experience of preparing and presenting design proposals to the client
  • Willing to take responsibility and able to use own initiative
  • Capable of liaising confidently with clients and consultants and developing those professional relationship
