Consult Energy are working with a leading provider of gas and electricity services across the UK. They are committed to delivering reliable, sustainable energy solutions to homes and businesses every day. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a skilled and dedicatedSystems Operatorto join their Operations team.

Role Overview:

As aSystems Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimisation of our gas and electricity networks. You will be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and maintaining a range of systems and infrastructure, ensuring a reliable supply of energy. The role will involve real-time decision-making, managing emergency situations, and coordinating with various teams to resolve operational issues.

Systems Operator - Key Responsibilities:

  • To supply National grid with energy when demand is higher than predicted.
  • To ensure all batteries and power plants are run to their full potential.
  • To act as first responder for all our power plants and ensure any faults that occur have been cleared by the operations team where possible
  • To liaise with the field engineers for any faults that cannot be cleared by the Edinburgh operations team.

Systems Operator - Key Skills & Experience:

  • Background of working in a customer facing role
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including excel/word .
  • Excellent time keeping.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well as individually.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
