Our client is a successful independent Scottish legal firm with a strong focus on private client and property-related legal work. Our strategy focuses on 4 core sectors: Private Client, Land & Rural Business, Renewable Energy and Commercial Real Estate. With 29 partners and around 145 staff, we operate from offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow.

They are now looking for an experienced Legal Cashier Assistant. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support, assisting the department in meeting and exceeding service delivery expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Operating in compliance with all relevant regulations including The Law Society of Scotland (LSS), Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Anti Money Laundering (AML)
  • Maintaining firm and client accounts
  • Processing CHAPS & BACS transactions
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with month-end procedures
  • Daily banking routines and balancing
  • Purchase ledger invoice management
  • Ensuring that the service needs of the Firm are delivered efficiently and effectively

Candidate Profile

The role requires a highly motivated and proactive team player with the ability to effectively plan and manage a high and varied workload. The successful candidate will be expected to have strong Microsoft Excel and numeracy skills. Working knowledge of the PMS system 3E will also be beneficial but is not essential.
