A leading public sector organisation require an Business Analyst.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agile working, business analysis, and process improvement. You will be responsible for analysing existing and new services, identifying opportunities for optimisation, and leading innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agile Working: Identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods, measure and evaluate outcomes, and support the team in deciding the best approach. Manage and visualise outcomes, prioritise work, and align to the minimum viable product (MVP), sprint, and scope.

  • Business Analysis: Conduct investigative work to identify problems and opportunities in services. Drive the collection and analysis of information to create service improvement recommendations and solutions.

  • Business Improvement Process: Analyse current services and processes to identify and implement optimisation opportunities. Conduct gap analysis to evaluate and establish requirements.

  • Business Modelling: Model complex scenarios across multiple business functions or programmes. Gather insights from senior stakeholders and communicate findings effectively.

  • Business Process Testing: Develop test cases and create traceability records from test cases to requirements.

  • Digital Perspective: Apply a digital-first approach to business analysis. Identify and implement assisted digital solutions.

  • Enterprise & Business Architecture: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the target operating model and assess its impact on operational services.

  • Innovation: Lead and inspire innovation within teams, enabling them to develop and implement new solutions.

  • Methods & Tools: Ensure teams use the appropriate tools and methodologies and promote best practices.

  • Requirements Definition & Management: Facilitate business priority setting for complex change initiatives. Lead requirements analysis and manage changes to programme scope.

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Influence stakeholders, manage relationships effectively, and build long-term strategic partnerships. Communicate regularly and clearly with key stakeholders.

  • Testing (Business Analysis): Define test conditions, design, interpret, and execute test plans. Identify risks and analyse test results.

  • User Focus: Collaborate with user researchers to ensure services meet genuine user needs. Differentiate between user needs and desires, championing user research and best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in business analysis and process improvement.

  • Strong experience of the public sector
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and digital transformation.

Role:

  • £440 per day
  • Edinburgh or Glasgow based
  • Outside of IR35
