Our client, a well established provider of critical technical solutions and services to the global offshore energy sector, is seeking a dynamic Business Unit Manager to join their team in Edinburgh. Position OverviewAs the Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing key business operations, supporting project execution, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. This pivotal role involves managing commercial activities, liaising with clients and suppliers, and improving internal processes to enhance efficiency and profitability. You will work closely with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth operations and deliver exceptional results.
ResponsibilitiesOversee project execution from tendering to completion, ensuring efficiency and compliance
Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth operations
Manage business documentation, contracts, and financial tracking to ensure accountability
Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance
Support invoicing and payment tracking to maintain cash flow
Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation
Build and maintain relationships with key clients and business partners
Act as a point of contact for client inquiries, negotiations, and issue resolution
Ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to agreed service levels
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies
Identify and mitigate risks in project and business operations
Uphold company quality standards and regulatory requirements
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
Experience in project or operations management, ideally in the renewable energy sector
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Financial and budget management experience
Proficiency in business systems, reporting, and compliance processes
Proven track record of effective project execution and operational efficiency
Ability to achieve financial targets and control costs
Demonstrated ability to build positive client relationships and deliver customer satisfaction
