The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a not for profit organisation in the heart of Edinburgh in the recruitment of a part time People Advisor.

This newly created role will report into the people manager and will have a people assistant who will support you in an administrative capacity. The role holder will be based in the office on a hybrid basis and will work 21.75 hours per week over 3 days (ideally including a Friday).

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to provide HR support to a busy function that has a multitude of business functions that it supports. Your initial remit will be to business partner a number of line managers/team supervisors in an HR context. You will be advising and guiding your stakeholders in relation to employee relations best practice, actively involved in case management as well as looking at process improvements and act as an HR generalist for the business.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Actively take a lead on case management files, facilitating employee interviews, investigations and communication of outcomes in an empathetic and sensitive manner.Work closely with department heads in driving and delivering the HR agenda/policies.Review of current HR processes and suggest improvements/build business cases for change.Review of the recruitment process and implement a processes to improve the employee life cycle.Conduct exit interviews, ensure off boarding has been professionally completed.Work closely with the HR team in ensuring that all information is tracked on the HRIS and ensure that individuals within the business know how to use the HR system.

The RequirementsWe are ideally looking for a candidate who has a CIPD qualification, however our client has made it clear that experience is more important. Our client has a complex service offering to their patrons and as such we are looking for an individual who is empathetic, diligent and who can handle sensitive issues. We would like to see applications from candidates who have a generalist HR background but who would be confident in dealing with case management work. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills in written and verbal form are crucial competencies.
