Paloma - Leith's neighbourhood taco spot is recruiting for a passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in a bustling street food inspired restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving delicious food and ensuring high-quality fresh food production.
Duties
- Oversee all kitchen activities, including food preparation and cooking
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Work with executive chef to develop new menu items and recipes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Manage inventory and food costs effectively
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent organisational abilities to coordinate kitchen operations efficiently
- Proficiency in supervising staff and delegating tasks effectively
The Role
Working Wednesday-Sunday, 45 hours per week - leading a small team to produce fresh hand pressed corn tortillas & small plates.
