The role – Head of IT

The salary - £68,000 - £72,000

The location – Edinburgh

Hybrid working is available for this role.

I’m working with a fantastic organisation as they look to add a new Head of IT to their organisation. The successful candidate will join the team during an exciting time in their transformation journey, and will be responsible for the delivery of both business-as-usual IT services but also continue to deliver the IT transformation strategy.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Head of IT or IT Manager who thrives working within professional environments, is a believer in coaching and managing high performing teams and who has experience with being a part of a senior leadership team.

Your day-to-day:

  • Provide day-to-day management of the internal IT function, leading a team of 8 IT specialists to deliver excellent IT services to the organisations end-users.
  • Deliver across the full scope of the organisations IT, including infrastructure, cloud applications, business systems, cyber security and ERP and CRM applications.
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of the organisations IT strategy, including managing budgets.
  • Drive innovation and technological advancement across the organisation.
  • Continue the organisations transformation project.
  • Lead the organisations cybersecurity efforts to ensure best practice cyber resilience.
  • Management of business continuity and disaster recovery plan.
  • Lead the organisations IT training function, ensuring everyone in the organisation is making the most out of applications and systems.

About you:

  • Experience leading and managing an IT team in a Microsoft tech stack environment, including task management, objective planning and performance management.
  • Experience with developing IT strategy and budget management.
  • Experience with working alongside senior leadership teams to guide the wider organisational strategy.
  • A proven understanding of cybersecurity, including experience with strengthening organisational security and working towards accreditations.
  • Experience delivering a successful ERP system implementation.
  • Experience with the full lifecycle of system implementation, from procurement, evaluation and programme management.
