About the Role

To support an ambitious growth strategy, we're seeking a talented and driven Business Development Manager. In this role, you'll focus on expanding their client base, nurturing existing relationships, and supporting the organisation's broader commercial objectives. You'll work with industry leaders across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive New Business: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, securing new clients and expanding our reach.
  • Client Relations: Retain and manage client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to help meet their evolving needs.
  • Collaborate on Strategy: Work with marketing to align sales strategies and customer-focused initiatives.
  • Present & Promote: Lead client presentations, communicate the value of our services, and represent us at major industry events.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalise commercial agreements with new and existing clients, ensuring mutual benefit.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in business development within financial services, ideally within life insurance, pensions, or investment platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate sales and close deals, backed by strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a knack for engaging diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of the UK financial services sector, particularly in Life Insurance, Pensions, SIPPs, Platforms, and related areas.

Location & Benefits

Office is based in Edinburgh (Hybrid), with some travel to key industry hubs (e.g., London, York, Bristol, Manchester). They offer a very competitive base salary, bonus potential, and a great benefits package.
