We are on the lookout for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in Edinburgh. With a strong pipeline of work ahead, my client needs someone keen to take on new challenges and help shape the future of ground engineering.

This isn't just another desk job - expect a mix of fieldwork, analysis and design across sectors like renewable energy, transport, commercial, residential and industrial developments. If you like solving tricky ground conditions and getting hands-on with geotechnical investigations, keep reading!

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out site walkovers, foundation inspections, and construction support
  • Managing and interpreting geotechnical and chemical data for various projects
  • Preparing Geotechnical Desk Studies and Interpretative Reports
  • Designing, procuring, and supervising site investigations
  • Performing detailed geotechnical analysis (foundation design, retaining walls, slope stability, etc.) in line with the Eurocodes
  • Producing Mining Risk Assessments and Remediation Strategies
  • Supporting and monitoring geotechnical works on construction sites
