We are currently seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join a successful, well established design practice in the Edinburgh office.

The chosen candidate will be required to demonstrate a reasonable understanding of construction drawing practice and the use of CAD systems such as AutoCAD.
Additional in-house training will be provided specific to drawing and engineering associated with work in the railway sector.

To be considered for this Senior CAD Technician role you will have;

• Knowledge and experience in delivering civil and structural engineering models and drawings, + 5 years of experience
• Practical experience of AutoCAD
• The delivery of structural steelwork/civil engineering drawings
• Experience with reinforced concrete drawings and schedules.
• Attention to detail.
• Can work as part of a dedicated team.
• Can self-check work
• Be self-motivated, and diligent and have good time management skills.
• Good numeracy and computer skills
• Flexible approach to working hours.
  
  Advantageous But Not Essential
  
• Experience using Civils3D or Bentley MicroStation
• Practical knowledge of common data environments such as Bentley ProjectWise would be beneficial.
• A practical understanding of the standards which define the UK BIM Framework and ISO 19650 would be beneficial.
• Experience using CADS RC, CADS-RC3D would be beneficial.
• Experience in producing reinforced concrete drawings and schedules.
• Experience in highway design would be beneficial.
• A technical member of a relevant institution or actively working towards professional registration status.
