Role Overview:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful execution of building projects. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating on-site activities, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your strong technical expertise and experience in building construction will be essential in helping us deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is completed to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, sub-contractors, and site teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Provide technical support, ensuring construction methods and materials comply with project specifications.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments, ensuring accuracy in setting out.
- Oversee the installation of temporary works, ensuring they are safe and effective.
- Monitor and record project progress, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with project managers and engineers to resolve any issues that arise on site.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including drawings, reports, and schedules.
- Assist with risk assessments and method statements for site operations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within the building sector, preferably with exposure to large-scale or complex projects.
- Strong understanding of building construction processes, materials, and regulations.
- Competent in setting out, using total stations and other relevant equipment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) and up-to-date knowledge of health and safety requirements.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred, but not essential if you have significant relevant experience.
