Role:
Our client, a leading defence and aerospace company, are seeking a dedicated Test Solutions Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh on a contract basis, working night shifts. This role sits within the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors, specifically focusing on the development and maintenance of Automatic Test Equipment systems.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware and software integration of test programs
  • Development and deployment of test programs
  • Design of systems, interfaces and cable assemblies
  • Liaison with Integrated Project Team (IPT) functions
  • Support to production
  • Liaison with external customers


Job Requirements:


Essential Technical Skills:

  • Integration experience using software languages such as CVI, C, C++, C#
  • Integration experience in an NI Test Stand environment
  • LF/Digital and/or RF/uW hardware integration experience
  • Offsite/Overseas test integration experience (desirable)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good team player


Desirable Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience of hardware design process
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of product safety legislation
