Your new companyOur client is an award-winning Edinburgh-based developer who have a busy few years ahead of them with multiple residential sites kicking off in 2025. As such, a requirement for a Commercial Manager to join their business has arisen. Your new roleAs Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the full commercial operations of the business. Reporting to the Managing Director and working with a small commercial team, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior QS or Commercial Manager to join a growing business which will allow you real latitude and influence in the commercial direction of a business. Our client is seeking a candidate with strong residential experience covering all phases of the developmental lifecycle from preconstruction to final accounts. As it is a small team, there will still be a level of tactical quantity surveying such as subcontractor procurement and contract management, but you will also be working with the MD on the commercial strategy of the business.What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate is a strong residential Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking to take the next step into a more interesting and diverse role. You will have experience in the commercial delivery of residential new build projects and have been exposed to all phases from reconstruction to final accounts. Perhaps you are looking for something a bit different and are bored with the day-to-day housebuilding routine. You will be a key part of the management group and have a real opportunity to deploy all of your quantity surveying expertise across multiple interesting projects and with interesting clients.
