Brightwork are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a global life science company for the recruitment of a Global Media Manager to join their team in West Lothian.

Role - Global Media Manager

The Global Media Manager is primarily responsible for earned public relations and social media activation in targeted markets to support the strategic promotion of the companies growing commercial portfolio. The ideal candidate will also excel in managing and guiding global social media channels to amplify its corporate message effectively. The role forms part of the Global Communications Team and acts as the Global communications link into the marketing and commercial teams ensuring alignment and consistency of message. This role requires a high level of credibility, and strong interpersonal skills in supporting the implementation of external and internal communications initiatives.

Duties will include:

  • Lead planning and execution of high-quality public relations and social media campaigns to showcase growing portfolio with a focus on raising awareness.
  • Manage and grow Global social media presence: leading content planning and delivery, maintaining brand consistency across all its channels.
  • Ensure a regular internal news flow and contributions to internal communication activities to reinforce the product message and build connection with our purpose.
  • Proactively manage agency partners to deliver business successes and ensure a strong ROI linked to roles and responsibilities.
  • Anticipate and prepare for product-related issues to enable rapid and appropriate responses both internal and external.

The Successful candidate:

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the commercial environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong experience of leading the development, implementation and measurement of public relations and social media tactics that support commercial objectives.
  • Preferably strong experience working across key markets - N. America, Europe and UK
  • A strong understanding of the owned and earned media execution and experience of media relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to develop engaging content including narratives, presentations, speeches and video scripts for senior leaders.
  • Must enjoy working in international organisation and able to prioritise workload in an unpredictable environment with high personal accountability.
