About the Role:
As a Highways Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering successful highways contracts across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. You'll ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while fostering excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
路Manage multiple highways projects, ensuring delivery meets client expectations and contractual requirements.
路Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and budget control.
路Monitor and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards across all sites.
路Lead and mentor project teams, subcontractors, and support staff.
路Conduct contract reviews and ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
路Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
路Identify and manage project risks, providing solutions to potential challenges.
What We're Looking For:
路Must have strong experience in highways construction or maintenance projects.
路Proven ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
路Knowledge of NEC or other relevant contract frameworks.
路Excellent leadership and team management skills.
路Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
路Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
路A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential).
