Search looking for a Credit Controller to join our client's Edinburgh office with hybrid working. Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller, you will play a key part in reducing outstanding debts and improving the efficiency of the credit control system. Additionally, you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely payments and address client queries.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and update credit control procedures.
* Review outstanding invoices and balances to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Proactively contact clients via phone, email, or letter to follow up on overdue payments, maintaining regular communication until debts are resolved.
* Process client payments and update system accordingly.
* Monitor bank accounts for payments and ensure financial records are up to date.
* Handle client queries efficiently, handling fee disputes where necessary.
* Coordinate with the debt recovery team when required.
* Work closely internal and external stakeholders to monitor progress and address any challenges in collections.

Skills and experience you'll ideally have:
* Demonstrable experience in credit control.
* Effective organisational skills.
* Methodical and conscientious approach to work.
* Excellent communication ability, comfortable approaching challenging conversations.
