Are you an experienced Credit Controller Supervisor/Manager who is looking for a new opportunity to work for a professional services organisation that is going through a period of growth?  My client is looking to strengthen their current team with the appointment of a permanent Credit Control Manager.  The role is based in Edinburgh city centre.The company offers a competitive salary with annual review and potential bonus award depending upon performance.

You will join a strong and dynamic team who provide finance services to a professional services team. 
  • Ensure service levels and KPI’s for the credit control team are being achieved
  • Develop processes and procedures with key aim of continually improving efficiencies and experiences
  • Ensure processes and procedures are being followed, the appropriate internal controls are in place, and both are being reviewed on a regular basis
  • Develop the skills of the team members ensuring they have SMART goals and development plans in place in line with their personal development and objectives
  • Driving the teams to strive for excellence with high quality outputs and outcomes
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts ensuring timely and effective collection of debt.
  • Establishing relations with clients finance teams to drive efficient and timely cash collection.
  • Attendance at monthly review meetings to assist Head of Credit Control
  • Excellent customer service on telephone calls, emails received from clients
  • Chase overdue debtor balances in line with Credit Control Procedures and workflows.
  • Monitor monthly payment plans to ensure funds are received on due date.
  • Issuing fees/receipts to clients at month end and upon completion of property sale.
  • Take card payments via online portal.
  • Maintaining & monitoring Credit Control inbox daily, escalating as required.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality, accuracy for input into systems.
  • Ad Hoc duties as and when required by the management team.
Skills required include;
  • Credit control experience within legal sector is desirable although not essential.
  • Previous experience managing/supervising a team
  • Excel skills required, ability to produce pivot tables, vlookups & other formulated data desirable although not essential.
  • Work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and proactively drive improvement in function.
  • Team player capable of building strong relations with clients and colleagues.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Adapts well to change
