A small, independent multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is seeking a skilled CDM Advisor to join their knowledgeable and supportive H&S team.

This consultancy specialises in providing comprehensive construction solutions across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

The CDM Advisor Role

The successful CDM Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, promoting best practices in health and safety, and supporting project teams throughout the construction process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and make a significant impact within a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

  • Providing expert advice and guidance on CDM regulations to clients, contractors, and design teams.
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring that health and safety considerations are integrated into the design and construction phases.
  • Preparing and reviewing pre-construction information, construction phase plans, and health and safety files.
  • Facilitating design team meetings and risk workshops to promote a proactive approach to health and safety.
  • Conducting site inspections and audits to monitor compliance and identify potential risks.
  • Delivering training sessions and workshops on CDM regulations and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in health and safety, such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a CDM Advisor role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
