Senior Mechanical Engineer - To 55K + Profit Share + Package + Almost fully remote role (Edinburgh)

Due to growth, this Building Services Consultancy is looking for an additional Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to help design and deliver a range of interesting projects across Scotland.

Current projects range from major decarbonisation and heat recovery projects with blue chip firms, CAT B office fit outs, surgeries, and upgrades of listed or cultural buildings.

Working directly with the founding Director, a friendly and supportive Chartered Engineer (CEng, MCIBSE, MSc) you'll be responsible for HVAC design, attending meetings, and overseeing the installation of the mechanical building services systems on both new build and refurbishment projects.

You will be fully supported in the role, but not micromanaged. You will be given the opportunity to lead your own projects from feasibility, design all the way through to construction.

You'll enjoy a fully flexible, almost 100% remote role, and choose how many days a week you attend their office in Edinburgh, based on meetings and clients' requirements.

Please note, this Senior Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity is with a start-up. So, you'll get a big say into the future direction and success of the business whilst being rewarded with a basic salary up to 55K, an annual 10% profit share and 25 days annual leave.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of four years' experience as a mechanical (HVAC / Building Services) design engineer.
  • Previous experience working for a consultancy (ie Building Services, or multi-disciplinary)
  • Ideally a member of CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers) or IMech (Institute of Mechanical Engineers).
  • Able to attend site meetings and client meetings around Scotland.
  • Willing to attend the office once a week, if required.
  • Must be a resident of the UK.
