Job Title: Dual Fuel Engineer

Job Overview:
As a Dual Fuel Engineer, you will provide exceptional customer service while demonstrating a strong commitment to your ongoing technical development. You will interact directly with customers, offering clear and accurate advice on smart meters, explaining their functionality and how they can help improve energy usage.
Your role will also involve mentoring junior engineers, guiding them in applying best practice technical standards following their formal training. Additionally, you will take a proactive approach to improving the safety and efficiency of your work, assisting colleagues in challenging situations, and covering emergency tasks when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and test smart meters for both gas and electricity.
- Perform communication testing for metering systems and data loggers.
- Work closely with the delivery support team to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Maintain high safety standards in line with established working procedures and industry regulations.
- Manage and control stock, ensuring necessary equipment and materials are available when required.
Educational Qualifications/Memberships:
- CMA1/CCN1, REGT1, MET1, MET2 (or equivalent relevant gas engineering experience).
- Level 2 Diploma in Smart Metering (Dual Fuel/Power) or proof of electrical competence.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven experience in Dual Fuel Smart Metering.
- Proactive communication with customers and thorough pre-visit preparation.
- Strong technical skills, ensuring excellent First Fit performance.
- Knowledge of industry governance, compliance standards, and relevant regulations.
- Full, current UK driving licence is essential.
