Cyber Security Consultant

Locations: Edinburgh, Leeds, Halifax, Manchester, or Bristol

Work Pattern: Hybrid (spending at least two days per week or 40% of your time in the office)

Duration: 6-month contract with possibilities of extension

Rate: £650.00 - £700.00

About the Role:

Join the Security Consultancy and Design team at the forefront of protecting over 30 million customers. This is your chance to play a vital role in embedding security by design across a diverse change portfolio as we shape the bank of the future.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and design secure solutions, producing Security Designs with documented controls.
  • Deconstruct and analyze solution and network architectures.
  • Identify threats and vulnerabilities, applying industry-standard practices (e.g., STRIDE, MITRE) to mitigate risks.
  • Translate threats into actionable risks and assess their impact on the business.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Articulate Security Designs and balance the risks and benefits of different options.
  • Manage multiple challenging projects simultaneously.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Strong ability to design secure solutions and evaluate architectures.
  • Expertise in identifying and mitigating threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience producing and presenting comprehensive Security Designs.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27000, PCI DSS, NIST, or OWASP.
  • Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP.
  • Experience with public or private cloud environments.
