We're looking for a dedicated yard manager to oversee daily operations in our Edinburgh yard, ensuring smooth workflow, stock control, and health and safety compliance.
What you'll do:
- Manage and coordinate yard operations, ensuring efficiency and organisation.
- Oversee the loading, unloading, and storage of materials.
- Maintain stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and monitor supplies.
- Lead and supervise the yard team, ensuring high performance and motivation.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and drivers to ensure smooth logistics.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a yard manager or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of stock management and logistics.
- Forklift license and experience operating machinery is desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude with a strong focus on health and safety.
