The firm operates with a team of around 230 professionals, including 26 Partners, across their offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and London. They provide a comprehensive range of services to business people and organisations with complex legal and financial needs.The OpportunityThe firm is currently seeking a talented and experienced Company Secretary to join their Business Law team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing company secretarial services for a diverse portfolio of entities and will play a key role within the team. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.The Business Law team provides a wide range of legal services, including advice on corporate governance, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, and business transactions such as sales and acquisitions. This position will offer the opportunity to manage various aspects of company secretarial work in a dynamic and supportive environment.LocationThis role is based in the firm's Edinburgh office.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle Companies House administration, including the submission of Confirmation Statements and dormant accounts.Ensure statutory books and registers are maintained for a range of entities.Draft board minutes and manage key company administration tasks, such as share allotments, transfers, and dividend management.Oversee the incorporation of companies and manage the registered office mail.Administer Inform Direct processes.Deliver a high level of client service to both internal and external clients.What the Firm is Looking ForExtensive experience in a similar company secretarial role, with a strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance requirements.Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.A proactive, independent working style, with the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision.Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Company Secretary to join a respected firm and contribute to the ongoing success of their Business Law team.
