Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Personal Assistant for Policy Manager for a 12 month with a potential 6 month extension contract on a rate of £15.02/hour PAYE. The working hours for this role will be 32 hours per week over Monday to Thursday. This role will be based in Edinburgh with hybrid working. Responsibilities:- Provide specific support to a visually impaired colleague to access, update and retrieve information from corporate systems, to support in the co-ordination of related activities, such as managing records, preparing papers and ministerial correspondence, with a high degree of accuracy and within deadlines, adhering to security and other relevant internal procedures.- Support a visually impaired colleague to access, produce and format key documentation, to produce accurate numeric work and concise, well-structured written work using organisation’s guidance, protocols and templates, adapting and embracing new ways of carrying out tasks. seeking the support of others when needed.- Supporting a colleague to co-ordinate and draft ministerial briefing, responses to correspondence, FOI requests, parliamentary questions and media lines on Disability Equality Policy, by accessing systems, locating information, checking formats, and coordinating and liaising with colleagues as required. - Provide administrative support for external and internal meetings including: setting up meetings; drafting accurate and concise minutes; and liaising with all relevant stakeholders.- Work closely with colleagues to support member of staff to provide support to the wider unit as requested, including through participating in projects; undertaking ad-hoc research; proof reading; supporting staff member at meetings.  Essential Skills:- Good interpersonal, networking and team working skills to build, develop and maintain positive working relationships.- The ability to prioritise and manage workload, adapting to meet changing circumstances and emerging risks.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, delivering information clearly and concisely in ways which meet the needs of varied audiences.Desirable Skills:- Ability to research and analyse information to produce informed decisions & recommendations.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
