Three Bridges Recruitment is currently partnering exclusively with an Edinburgh-based organisation who are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst on a permanent basis. This role represents a fantastic opportunity for (ideally) a Part Qualified Accountant or Assistant Accountant who is keen to complete their studies at the same time as working in a highly rewarding and supportive team environment in Edinburgh city centre.
In this varied and wide-ranging role, you will gain exposure and develop your skills in management accounting, statutory accounting, budgeting, reporting and business partnering.
The role is ideally a full-time position; however, consideration will also be given to candidates wishing to work on a part time basis (3.5 days minimum).

The role of Finance Analyst will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
- Preparing weekly and monthly commercial and management reports
- Reviewing financial data for accuracy and integrity
- Analysing variances with a focus on profit margins, stock, and wages
- Supporting the Head of Finance in the preparation of statutory accounts
- Assisting in the budget and forecasting processes
- Developing management reports and month end processes
- Working with various departments to support their financial analysis needs
- Providing ad-hoc duties, training, and finance function cover as required
You
As a Finance Analyst you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:
- Part Qualified (PQ) Accountant / Assistant Accountant or a desire to work towards
- Good knowledge of financial accounting systems and processes
- Experience in financial reporting and variance analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Proficient with accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel (essential) and Sage 200 (desirable)
- Ability to deliver presentations and training on financial matters
- A customer service-driven approach and a positive can-do attitude
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Any experience of the Charity SORP would be advantageous
