Robert Half is partnered with a well-known financial services organisation based in Edinburgh to help identify a Financial Planning Analyst on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially orientated accountant looking for a fast-paced working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance, identifying variances from forecasts and budgets.
  • Collaborate across departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers and provide insightful operational analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare presentations and analysis for the Senior Management team, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Provide financial analysis for quarterly earnings calls and investor relations activities.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic decision-making and the development of new products.
  • Lead strategic planning and budgeting processes, ensuring adherence to revenue and expense targets.
  • Partner with the Corporate Development team in on M&A and other transactional activities.
  • Develop and implement innovative analytics tools to identify and assess key business trends and identify key performance indicators for business units.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives through the implementation of automation and programming solutions.

Main Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong critical thinking and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Highly organised and results-oriented with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Salary will sit within a range of £55,000 - £70,000 plus benefits.
