Reconciliations Analyst

Salary: Up to £30,000 (DOE)

Location: Edinburgh

Duration: Full time, permanent

Sellick Partnership have been engaged to recruit a Reconciliations Analyst for a highly successful and growing Financial Services business. The Reconciliations Analyst will be responsible for processing payments, receipts and distributions as well as identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors in financial reports.

The role would be suitable for someone who already has strong reconciliations experience and is looking to progress within a business or someone who is looking to go into a new industry. The role would also be ideal for someone with an eye for detail and someone who enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Reconciliations Analyst:

  • Complete all the underlying processes to enable the production of an accurate daily Internal Client Money Reconciliation and ensure that the correct value (to the penny) of client money is protected
  • Dealing with any reconciliation queries in an effective manner, escalating where necessary
  • Assemble the daily System Control Reconciliations to ensure all control accounts are correct
  • Prepare and input manual journals where required
  • Ensure any issues you identify which may constitute a CASS breach is escalated
  • Make sure all tasks and activities performed adhere to the Consumer Duty regulations

Successful Reconciliations Analyst candidates will be:

  • Studying towards an accountancy qualification
  • Strong experience in dealing with Reconciliations
  • Worked within a financial services business (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of CASS regulations
