FD Recruit is partnering with a client in Edinburgh to engage a portfolio CFO.  This interim position would suit a consultant Finance Director or CFO operating through their own limited company outside IR35.  The engagement will last between 4 and 6 months and requires a commitment of 2 days per week, working from home but attending meetings as required. Meetings could take place in Edinburgh, the central belt of Scotland or London so flexibility to attend meetings is required. The interim CFO will have the following remit:

  • Lead a fund raising process working with the group Board of Directors including the in house CFO.
  • Ensure that all financials are in order to be presented to potential investors.
  • Prepare a compelling pitch to present to potential investors.
  • Prepare the data room and collate all documents required for presentation to investors.
  • Support the in house CFO with any requests for information and ensure all due diligence is completed to ensure a successful process. 

To be successful in this role the portfolio CFO will have the following experience:

  • Experienced CFO with a track record of successful fund raising.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience of preparing data rooms and due diligence.
  • Organised with the ability to prepare meticulous records.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

The rate advertised for this role is a guideline and the rate offered will be commensurate with experience.
