- Lead and mentor a high-performing team: Work with the head of finance to support a team of 18 FTE across the UK and India, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Enhance financial controls: Implement and maintain robust financial controls, drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize reconciliation processes, reduce costs, and mitigate financial risks.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting: Oversee month-end close processes, prepare and deliver financial reports (including management information and dashboards) for internal and external stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Manage audits and regulatory inquiries: Support internal and external audits and regulatory inquiries.
- Essential:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA)
- 5+ years of experience in the Financial Services sector (Pensions experience preferred)
- Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing finance teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive change
- A proactive and results-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Desirable:
- Experience working with HMRC Tax Reporting
- In-depth knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
