The Role

The Head of Finance role will report to and deputise for an exceptional CFO. The CFO is an individual that is happy to gradually hand over more of the reins constantly increasing the Head of Finance remit, responsibility & exposure - this includes direct access to the Board & subcommittees.

The Head of Finance is an extremely varied role, with the key components including:

  • Board presentations, reporting and business partnering
  • Reporting to and deputising for the CFO
  • Hiring, training and development of the finance team both onsite & remotely
  • Ownership of financial reporting, control, governance & risk
  • Ownership of FP&A & commercial finance
  • Involvement in high value and profile projects including M&A - due diligence & integration
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems
  • Supporting with ERP and BI tool developments

On Offer

The position of Head of Finance is based in Edinburgh with strong hybrid working - 2/3 days a week in the office. The role will also offer:

Candidate Profile

We are keen to engage with the following candidates:

ESSENTIAL

  • Qualified Accountant with 5 years + post qualification experience
  • Track record at Finance Manager/Head of Finance/Financial Controller level
  • Strong experience of financial accounting, management accounting and FP&A

HIGHLY DESERIABLE

  • PE or VC backed experience
  • FinTech or Technology sector experience
  • M&A exposure - Due diligence & integration
