Overview: A reputable Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) firm in Edinburgh is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Adviser to join our expanding advisory team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has strong financial planning knowledge and wishes to develop their advisory career within a supportive, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior advisers in the preparation and delivery of comprehensive financial planning advice to clients.

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, managing queries efficiently and professionally.

  • Conduct detailed fact-find meetings and analyses to ascertain client needs, goals, and objectives.

  • Assist in researching and creating personalised financial planning reports and proposals.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products, market trends, legislation, and compliance requirements.

  • Ensure accurate and compliant client records are kept using our CRM and internal systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent.

  • Prior experience within an IFA or financial planning environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Ambition to progress towards Chartered status (desirable but not essential).
